[inlmath]\frac{\pi}{2}<\alpha<\pi[/inlmath] je bitan podatak, jer nam on kaže da je [inlmath]\alpha[/inlmath] u [inlmath]II[/inlmath] kvadrantu, a čim je u [inlmath]II[/inlmath] kvadrantu, to znači da mu je sinus pozitivan, a kosinus negativan, što će kasnije biti važno u toku postupka.

Sada umesto [inlmath]\cos\alpha[/inlmath] možemo pisati [inlmath]-\sqrt{1-\sin^2\alpha}[/inlmath]. Zašto minus ispred korena – pa, upravo zbog podatka da je [inlmath]\alpha[/inlmath] u [inlmath]II[/inlmath] kvadrantu, te mu je kosinus negativan.
[dispmath]=2\sin\alpha\left(-\sqrt{1-\sin^2\alpha}\right)+1-\sin^2\alpha-\sin^2\alpha=-2\sin\alpha\sqrt{1-\sin^2\alpha}+1-2\sin^2\alpha=[/dispmath]
[dispmath]=-2\cdot\frac{3}{5}\sqrt{1-\frac{9}{25}}+1-2\cdot\frac{9}{25}=-\frac{6}{5}\cdot\frac{4}{5}+1-\frac{18}{25}=-\frac{17}{25}[/dispmath]
